This is hilarious Ian, but what really takes the cake is the writing on the window. Good to see you back in I.F. land again!

I have the answer. when asked are we there yet I respond, we are here, we just are't there. It makes them think.

ps, nice first name

I love this! I can feel the blue metal inside of the car. The colors are great...and I agree with Steve about the window scrawl!

That must be one of the worst jobs ever - be a test crash dummie. Great stuff Ian, how do you keep those pastels and charcoal from smudging too much?

ps. Elbowroom's back!

Well that made me smile, but I am the type to ask that question incessantly on journeys of any length, allegedly for comedy value, but I think everyone would agree I'm less funny than irritating.

cheers all!

yeah, as a CT dummy it's better to travel in hope than to arrive...
note the car; its compact curved shape was governed largely by the width of paper yet possibly unconsciously inspired it resembles the form of a Citroen CV2 - a car I had to drive across France in exchange for a free holiday once and the nearest I've come to feeling like a crash test dummy - the chassis can turn on a sixpence while the rest of the body wants to go straight on. It really is motoring's answer to the soapbox cart, I recommend it for a laugh.

Johnny, it's a peculiar thing. I'm not conscious about avoiding smudges, it just happens! - my engineering drawing teacher singled me out for it; ''russell might not know what he's doing most of the time but he always manages to keep his work clean - and that's what the examiner will notice first!'' ha, ha.

Oh I wouldn't want to be a crash test dummy... great idea for the topic... I'm giving it a miss this week... so that means I'm not crashing...
