Love it ian. Crayons can be very versatile and in my opinion, underrated as a valid artistic medium. makes me wanna sketch in crayon again soon. Is it another "squart" piece? Nice job making something from song lyrics (and ones you really don't understand much at that)!

yes, it's a squart! I like the way you have to really work the crayon in a totally different way to say pastels - it can be very physical or they don't behave well. they kind of melt with the friction! - I like that. Also you can cut into it with a pencil - this one began with a graphite line drawing and ended with going over certain lines for emphasis. this helps with the details as the canvas is quite small for crayons.

I really love this one, Ian!
(I've never heard of that album, though)

Janet, I have just checked and the album is called Come Find Yourself.

Done with panache Ian! How many squarts are you on now?

thanks. not sure, john, should be in double figures by now - still have a few more ideas but there's no urgency. I must get the zeotrope off the ground and I've found an animation flash tutorial website which I might tinker with. want to do something less mainstream with the photography too, but haven't found inspiration yet. must do some proper artwork too - otherwise not much point in taking the lessons! there's not enough hours in the day...
